Description

"Luuko was once a young, reckless QuillDog. He was known for many a near-death adventure and many tricks and lies. But, one by one, his friends all stopped hanging around him, fearful that he'd lead them to do something they'd all regret, or that they'd get tricked for the hundredth. Luuko became bitter. After all, he only did it for approval and friends, and it lead him to have all of that taken away. Finally, as a last-ditch attempt, he told his friends that he'd stop and he would lay off the stunts. Of course, he was lying. The QuillDog's plan was to lead them up near the top of a mountain. There was a large gap between two rocks that no one had ever been able to jump before, and he planned to be the first. He lied and twisted his words the whole time, until he reached his destination. The other Quills knew exactly what he was going to do, and they all tried to stop him. He ignored them and leapt, feeling the sensation of flying. No, he was falling, plummeting to the ground. He tried twisting himself, trying to land. He didn't want it to end! He called out, both mentally and physically, to who knows what...Then, blackness.
A soft bright light appeared in his vision. He stood up, feeling no pain. Luuko thought he was dead. But then, a voice rang out. It sounded like so many things, but power and magnificence was most clear.
"You don't want to die, do you?" The voice rumbled around him.
He shook his head.
"And yet you lead a life of lies and recklessness, refusing to look past your life.
Luuko hung his head. He told the voice that he regrets it all, but he knew it was too late. If only he could go back in time. He would've never tricked others, never would've lied, never would've done all of those stunts. A deep sorrow blossomed in his heart. He could actually stabbed at him, deep, deep down. The pain travelled all along his body.

Luuko opened his eyes.

He didn't feel the ground, but he could feel air rushing around him. He felt different, that voice still ringing in his ears..."Go and do."
He was...Flying! But how? He never had wings, and had always been quite the plain QuillDog. He looked down and saw his friends down on the cliff below him, staring up at him in shock. As though he had willed it, Luuko flew down to them, where he surveyed his new body. He had...wings! Many more Quills adorned his body, and his whole pelt was covered in a brilliant golden-yellow, similar to that of the rising sun just behind him. The Quill felt different, not just physically. That voice's last words instilled a new life purpose in him. No longer would he lie and trick, pulling reckless tricks. He'd be the very embodiment of honesty and uprightness. He would be known as Yi, the Morning Sun. But to his friends, he would always be Luuko, the QuillDog who was resurrected by the super-deity themselves.

Personality: One reckless and a liar, Luuko is now the embodiment of honesty and uprightness. He can be stubborn and determined when interacting with others, but he means it with good intentions. He has a very kind-hearted disposition, and one can clearly see the compassion in his golden eyes. However, he can still come off as cold, as he is brutally honest, but not hatefully so. He protects the ones he loves with diligence, and never tires in his search to complete his life's goal.
Customs: Every morning as the sun rises, Luuko will rise from his sleep and let out a call similar to that of wolves' howls, wind chimes, and deep, guttural horns. It's mesmerizing. It's said that when you hear the sound that you'll be inclined be kinder and overall a better and more truthful person on that day, and that the deity isn't too far away.
The sunrise of the summer solstice is his most powerful day, as his whole pelt turns a bright and brilliant sunrise golden-yellow. The floating sun-like object floating above his head lights on fire and glows with a powerful light.

I had a lot of fun designing this guy, and honestly I'm really happy about the end result! <33
