No better way to start off the new year than with a redraw, eh? Shown above is the glorious Bluestar, one of my absolute favorite characters to be completely honest. It's definitely an understatement to say that I liked how this turned out. <33This drawing was a huge redraw of this piece way back from June of last year, as shown below!

The background is absolutely beautiful!Β I actually like the overall style of the original a bit better, but the contrast of the dark sky with the paler fur is very striking in this one.

Kind of miss the black outline, but that's my personal preference. Β The background is absolutely gorgeous, though, and that alone can carry the drawing. Β The solemn expression is a fairly accurate depiction of the character, though my attention isn't really drawn to that. Β My attention is drawn to the twinkling stars in the backdrop and the nice bit of lighting on the abnormally sharp tuft of neck fur.
It's an excellent drawing altogether, and this is definitely one of your best backgrounds yet.
