"There you go, little one, all patched up." It has been several months since Jay started his internship, and through this improved on his knowledge. Right now he takes care of a small myre stump, who gained scrapes, but got patched up by the gray stem. After carefully setting her onto the ground and taking her outside the doctor's office, Jay sighed and sits down on the wooden floor. Dr. Albert, who observed the whole specatcle from the side gave Jay an acknowledging nod. "Well done, Mr. Carcharodon."

Both stems sit by the nearby desk to discuss the future of Jay's internship. The gray stem expected that, now with six months being over, he would sent off. It has only been an internship after all, and while he gave all his best, followed instructions and assisted Albert as much as possible, he remembered clearly he wasn't exactly looking for an apprentice. What he was about to hear though let his jaw drop.

"Hiring...me?!" He rubbed his eyes with a hand, as if trying to wake up, but when he glanced back to the doctor, he still had the same expression when he said those words. "Yes, Mr. Carcharodon, you are not imagining things." Jay swallowed, and overthought what he heard. "Okay...let me get this correctly; You want to hire me. Train me? Taking me in as your apprentice? I mean...I am cetainly older...you probably want a younger stem than me..."

Then Jay got quickly interrupted from his rambling, only seeing the serious expression of the doctor. "Some youngsters are in their self-discovery phase, you however seem to know already what you want in life. But it's not just that...I watched how enthusiastic and inquisitive you are. You seem to have a knack for magic. There are...still some things you can improve on, but nothing that some training couldn't help."

Jay let these words sink in. He wanted to become a doctor and help others. This could be a chance for him, to not only follow his passion, but also ensure a stable income for his small family. A new start in life. "So, what are you saying? Do you want to become my apprentice and learn the ways of a doctor?" he heard Albert's offer, and after some time of overthinking, Jay was now sure what he wanted to do.

"I am ready, doc. I want to learn everything what you know."

Jay now has a job. He became an apprentice under Albert's tuition. It's still a path to go ahead, as he will still learn magic, but it certainly is a good way to ensure a stable income.
