My final artwork for 2019, and gift artwork for my 2019 Reddit Secret Santa match. She's a big fan of Slime Rancher so I thought I'd make some fan art and turn it into a poster!

Going into this, I have never played Slime Rancher before and really had no idea if there even was a main character in the game. Luckily, the player character, Beatrix is super cute and was really fun to draw! The slimes are all awesome too. I put my own spin on a few bits and pieces of Beatrix' design, especially her eyes.

I am SO happy with how this turned out. I used Clip Studio Paint's built in model posing and made a fun pose/perspective first, and then started my drawing on top of that. I couldn't be happier with the end result.

Background is nothing crazy, unfortunately I really limited myself with the perspective I chose so there wasn't much to draw except ground. I made half of the background water to help contrast against her gun/outfit.
