OH MY WOW - just when I thought this day couldn't get any better I log in to Deviantart and find this waiting for me! Trust me - YOU DID NOT BUTCHER THEM! My characters always look great in your style and these two are no exception! Both my girls look so pretttyyy 
Interesting how you picked Spades to go with Artifex. I've heard the Ace of Spades is known as the Death card and considering Artifex's character and actions in the story, it fits REALLY well! And aside the obvious colour similarities, Hearts fit Avie really well too!
ANYWAY I've rambled enough! This is absouletly brilliant and it brought a smile to my face! Thank you so much Blob!

Anyway, it was a pleasure to draw those two, and I hope I'll learn a little more about them, one day... I saw they were in the same story than Draimir, and, well, Draimir...
So, a symbol of death ? Didn't know that, but it's interesting, considering all the characters linked to this symbol...

Yep! Verrier I'd say is the main guy. (Though the story is turning out a bit like A Song of Ice and Fire, as in there are A LOT of characters and they're all the main character in their...own way haha.)
