Description
Shout out to my two watchers! I don't even know who is but I'm pretty sure I watched a while back and got my back scratched (watched?) in return. It was the strange idea that some people, even only 2, would know if I submitted something that made me decide to devote a bit of time to learning some more about vector art (or rather, fake vector art... baby steps) and work up some pony fanart that doesn't look terrible. Is it really generic? Yes. Does it use nondescript female background pony #247 as a pose reference and model? Yes. Does it look weird when one does asymmetrical eye gleams on an otherwise very geometrical piece? I still think so, but I'm convinced they're as good as they are going to get. Most importantly, though: it doesn't look terrible and I MADE IT. I drew a sketch, scanned it in, used it as a model to lay out some paths in GIMP, and made this. What's more, I learned a lot, and I'm confident I could do it again much faster with a variety of subjects. I've never really been an artsy type; my entire career aspirations essentially rest on my mind being as analytic as possible, so the idea that I have created something that is arguably "art" fascinates and terrifies me. Criticism welcome, of course, but I don't know, keep it polite and preferably constructive or something? Next on the docket: BACKGROUNDS (shudder).ps: Hasbro owns all the ponies, forever.
pps: her name is Bright Horizon and she's the prettiest pony.
