Description
Clyde is another one of my Railway Series fan-characters.

Clyde's Bio:

Clyde is an American tank engine with a 0-4-2 wheel arrangement. He was once used for logging and gold mining up in the Sawtooth Mountains. Clyde joined the Fat Controller's railway two years after Oliver was saved from scrap. The Fat Controller had bought Clyde in an auction while on one of his holiday's. Clyde arrived the day the Fat Controller and his family had just returned from their holiday to the U.S. Clyde was soon modified for work on Sodor. Clyde was quick to make friends with Thomas, Percy, and Toby. He was eager to get to work, but maybe a little TOO eager. He backed up towards his passenger train at Knapford station too quickly and ended up being switched to the wrong platform where he accidentally backed up into Gordon who was just about to leave with the express. Clyde was quick to apologize and immediatly got out of Gordon's way and was soon at the right platform and coupled to his train. As soon as everyone was on board, Clyde sped off with his passenger train, but made the mistake of waiting for his train to be switched to the correct line, so he had to go back and get switched onto the right line. When his train finally reached its destination, the Fat Controller was cross with Clyde's performance. "Oh dear," Clyde said, "I can't beleive I'm making the same mistakes all over again." He soon explained to the Fat Controller that back on his old railway, the other engines teased him for being so clumsy. Clyde had apparently gotten into lots of trouble on his old railway because he was in fact clumsy and sometimes forgetful. The Fat Controller soon realized that it's not that he's clumsy or forgetful, but it's just that Clyde is too impatient. The Fat Controller decided to get Clyde a new coat of paint and have the number 12 painted on the side. Soon the Fat Controller realized that Clyde really was clumsy when Clyde got so overjoyed that he puffed forward in excitment and ended up derailing. Clyde is now painted a nice dark blue with a bround cab, brass stripes, and black wheels. He loves to work and is very, very friendly. He is very hard to upset and is always optimistic, but like what was mentioned earlier, he is somewhat clumsy and impatient.
