Just decided to draw Neil from the Railway Series. I think Neil would be my favorite character from the Railway Series. I just wish that Neil was used in the Thomas and Friends TV series. I don't know why they didn't include him. It would've been easy to do... Maybe it had something to do with his model.Related content

Superb. This type of loco worked at the West Somerset Mineral Railway. Drawings exist at York for the single cylinder version, one of which worked near where I live. Bet they were a pig as you have a dead spot with one cylinder unlike with two.

This is a very good drawing of Neil here. I think he wasn't used in the tv series because not much is know about the history, so they say about these 'box' engines. However, somewehere along the lines, I think these types and classes were likely scrapped, so Neil was highly unlikely to make it to TV series.

Thanks! I can see why he could be mistaken for narrow gauge, because he's almost as small as a narrow gauge engine.
