QAQ it is.
I start with a general shape (an egg) and add to it.
Like, a squarer chin or bigger cheek bones.

tutorials are pretty good.
I started art with step by step Q-Q
...
the general process is:
*copy - literaly copy stuff
*play - have fun with it
*use - you end up just using it
*adapt - later on I tend to find myself adapting my methods to better suit things or to be more efficient
