My first time was at the Kennedy Center when I was like 15 or 16, and back then, I wasn't too impressed. My dad, on the other hand, has always loved the PotO, which is how I ended up seeing it. My sister enjoyed the soundtrack for years. It didn't start to grow on me until I saw the 2004 movie, except for one thing. I think I'll give the edge to Michael Crawford's Phantom, because he sang WAY better than Gerard Butler.

My first time seeing Phantom as a musical play was June 2012 in London, England. I just saw it last night (obviously I'm back in the US now) on 12-15-13.

Something I will always do, for it was one of the best theatrical experiences of my life. Of course having a balcony seat near the chandelier helps lol

It'll be my first time in... 18 days! Tickets booked for the London production, one row from the front, and then meeting Marcus Lovett after the show. Excited? Barely able to contain myself!

I really want to go and see this, but I don't think there are any shows of this where I live. (Mainly because they're performing Love never Dies....)

Yes. I was so excited and I sat down at my computer and SEARCHED endlessly until i found a low quality, buffer-y thing that played POTO the 2004 movie. IT WAS BEAUTIFUL. Then, I saw the actual production for the 25th anniversary with my aunt and uncle. I became obbsessed with Seirra and Ramin ever since.

I went to see it on a school trip to DC/NYC. I thought it was going to be lame.
During the intermission, I said "WHAT? A break?! NO!! GET ON WITH THE PLAY!! WHAT HAPPENS NEXT?!?!"
The Phantom of the Opera is the most beautiful show I have ever seen ;_;
I was fortunate to see it twice that summer

I remember my first time. I hadn't been a Phan for long before I saw it on Broadway (I'd really been aware of it for maybe a year and a half) and I went into the Majestic Theatre for my birthday and I haven't been the same since. A magical production, awe-inspiring.

My high school's production, with the most AMAZING senior as the Phantom. He won a national award, or something like that. It was so great, even though I was all the way in the back. The performance had me in tears... and I usually never cry at shows.
I wish I could see it on Broadway though. That would be amazing!

I want to see this sooo bad! But what does it mean when it says "remember your first time..."?

Phantom is a classic, so it's asking people who have seen it to "remember their first time". and to those who haven't, it's telling them that they WILL remember their first time seeing it.

January 22 this year. It was amazing; I was so excited to see Hugh Panaro's Phantom. We had the *best* seats, too.

The first and final. I'm so glad I got to see something as monumental as this though! So beautiful. I'm a stickler to books but the broadway tour topped the books.

I love Phantom! I prefer the black n' white 1925 version or the 1992 Kopit/Yeston TV version to ALW's version, and the book to any of the film versions, but ALW's has some good music, and some lovely costumes.

My first time was when I was 11... ehehe that sounds exceptionally wrong.
But seriously, ever since then, nothing stirs my emotions like the Phantom does
