When Adventure Time was first coming out, the commercials were really annoying, and my husband and I thought we'd hate the show. But, we love it! We've even analyzed what sort of characters/players (D&D) the characters would be. Like: Finn and Jake are regular players, of course. PB is an NPC. Marceline is a player character for someone who can't make it to the games regularly. Lumpy Space Princess is played by a young relative of one of the players, who really wants to play, but doesn't quite get the concept of the game. etc
