I'm really starting to like your work that has a lot of negative space. I found this one randomly lol there is a connection somehow. You have a real eye for negative space that I like and the form is off which is interesting...^_^

I noticed that myself, it started off in a lot of my early successful photographic works spanning from late last year, especially in the photos of the moon I took. Eventually it formed the bulk of my input from late October to the crack of January this year. I quite like this photo myself, I think it's safe to say this is where my recent drawings and photography crossed into one another stylistically. Compare this to "Spanish Castles" for example. [link]

Yeah the similar shape is there. I'm still trying to get the hang of some of your drawings because my thoughts that immediately pop up are always outer space and, I guess it's ok , but it's to easy lol. You wouldn't happen to like the band Bass Communion do you? It is really the only ambient type band I know besides maybe the group the helped do the soundtrack for The Fountain who I don't know the band name really lol Wolf something *^_^*. Just seems like both would be up your alley.

I haven't heard of Bass Communion, though I am aware of Steven Wilson. His body work is pretty impressive and so should this particular group

Yeah, it would be a good time to get into it if you want. He has a bad habit of making his Bass Communion stuff kind of Limited release material, which is kind of silly in my opinion but he has bringing a lot of it back out . Ghosts On Magnetic Tape, is the most well rounded one for sure ^_^. A lot of the music is sitting on one note for a very long time with very subtle changes, So, I don't know lol. It's certainly new to me but I've come to like it and be patient.

You listened to much of Brian Eno's material? His art rock stuff's peculiar, but accessible nonetheless. His ambient work however...well you know you're a true artist if you can appreciate it.

I've been somewhat exposed to it, I don't know if it was his ambient stuff or not. I will have to look into it more. I have to kind of get back into that mindset, hard to tell if it really helps a racing mind or not sometimes. I mostly get to enjoy that stuff when I get lots of time to just sort of shut off the world lol -_-

Really lovely piece here. The clouds are otherworldly, like the kind that Turner painted.
When I gaze at the cylinders, whether I'm zoomed into the photo or not, I think the same things: it's like a cross between mesh screens and denim, wrapped into a coil. I can also imagine that these things, if smaller than the palm of your hand, would be something like the most wicked cigarettes ever marketed to man.
But all of this is a roundabout way of telling you the obvious: this is great work and I love images that get me thinking two or three different ways about the content.
I also wish to add that there's a good contrast of focus between the cylinders and the thick haze beyond it.

Thanks for the kind words, I always seem to have more than one meaning within anything I draw or photograph regardless of intention. If you like this then check out the second variation

Some cylinder-like structures outside the sports centre I was at earlier today, but I can't exactly pinpoint what they are exactly in all honesty. Still, couldn't resist a snap or two
