Description
The prominences on the star isn't like that supposed to be, but I like the X-ray view of it anyway :/ I didn't add her crown, necklace and horseshoe, to give her a natural feel. The overall theme is the early stage of the life cycle of a star, from a nebula(background), protostar(on the tip of her horn), and the main sequence(the close-up star). Of course if I draw Luna I will not draw a black hole or a neutron star(that's too deathly ). But maybe a colorful planetary nebula. Also, if I can't show their cutie marks, I could put them on the highlights of their eyes, like hers.Supposed to be finished by yesterday, but emergency at the office. Duty calls.

Замечательная работа! В первую очередь обращает на себя внимание выражение лица (не хочется говорить морды). Не знаю что Вы хотели им выразить, но я вижу в нём обречённую усталость творца, за которым бесцеремонно подглядывают с другой стороны монитора. Прекрасная идея и композиция рисунка! Я понимаю, что не умея рисовать я не имею права на критику, но всё-таки позволю отметить что на мой взгляд работа смотрелась бы ещё лучше если бы туманность на заднем фоне была бы чуть воздушнее, объемнее (но это не более чем придирка).

Wow, amazing job here!
First of all, the detail in this is amazing. You put a lot of detail into Celestia's wing, the hairs on her hoof, her glorious mane, and the sun under her control. I really love how some of the feathers in the wing are a little bent towards the tip - a tiny touch most wouldn't think about, but a natural deviation from the default form of a wing that we expect, and adds to the realism of the piece. The hair on her hoof is quite detailed and looks wonderful, a touch of cuteness to the otherwise serious piece. Celestia's mane glows brilliantly in the light of her sun, with excellent reflections to help show its wavy nature, and individual hairs marked to give that mane a flowing nature.
Her expression is interesting - very little or no emotion, befitting of the holder of such power. There may be a slight hint of surprise, or a bit of a questioning look - regardless, the expression holds the viewer's attention, the main focus of the piece.
I love the sun in this - you have sunspots and the solar flares coming off the sides, and the trail it leaves is quite like that left by a twin sun-black hole system. I'm not sure I like the gas clouds in the background as much - though they may look fine on their own, I think they distract from the rest of the piece - and they just don't feel quite as brilliant as the sun to attract so much attention. Perhaps if they were a shade less brilliant, or if there was one fewer, the piece might be a bit more focused, though I could be wrong. Regardless, this is an excellent rendering of many different pieces of the night sky.
Finally, your use of colors are great- the pink works well for shading Celestia's face and wing - the bright white/gray light surrounding celestia make her brighter body stand out. The green mane so close to the pink body help both stand out, just as the purple strand and the sun complement each other. The whole piece is well balanced, with the sun on the right, the princess's mane streaming out to the left, and Celestia framed by everything.

That's pretty cool. Makes you wonder if Celestia has a supernova equivalent (Ia classification would be a terrifying thing to see.) and an eventual collapse into a blackhole....

If you're going from the moon-aspect of it, there's so many possibilities... a piece of earth torn off from a planetary body from an asteroid strike, and asteroid getting stuck in orbit around a planet...

Haha, at last someone understands my point! I cannot draw Luna with themes of destruction and gravitational collapse of some sort(my first theme of Celestia is supposed to be a GRB. But its too extreme :/) Planetary nebulas on the other hand signifies both death and creation(or rebirth), which coincides with Luna's life. But I may consider adding some planetary body of some sort in the background. Thank you for the suggestion!
