Description
I haven't done a larger piece in a while so what better opportunity than this commission? I had so much fun with this, it's not even funny. This features the SWTOR Dromund Kaas boss The First, along with 's Sith Inquisitor character, Melphus. I hadn't realized before starting either of his latest batch of commissions, but I have never drawn a male Twi'lek before, please be gentle!
A great many hours were spent on this one, full view for details!
You can see this and my other work over at tumblr now, too bluebutbeautiful.tumblr.com/

THIS PIECE IS COMPOSED OF EPIC.
HOLY SHIT Blue, this is INCREDIBLE!!! the details just baffle me, but the whole feeling of this piece if AWESOME. I know just by looking at this piece that both Dromund and Melphus are a force to be reckoned with! The details in Dromund's shell, I can tell he is strong and has been through a lot already! and Melphus just screams Badass. anyways, this is an outstanding piece and I'm thrilled to hear that you had fun with it!

Thank you!! I spent quite a bit of time on this one, I am so pleased you took time to check out the little details. I've kept ahold of the original sketch, too, for my portfolio, there's some details on Melphus' face I wanted to hang onto. Maybe even make a traditional version in time?
Dromund Kaas is the world they are on, the beast's name is a bit of an odd one: The First - the first what, you may ask? Well, I didn't get that far into the codex before I was attacked by him
Thanks again!!

A downright fantastic piece you did for me.Β Β Again, the detail on your first-drawn male twi'lek is great, as well as (AFAIK) your first artwork of a Yozusk.
With what you've done boss-wise in recent SWTOR commissions, I gotta ensure that for the next lot, Dreadtooth is included.
I'm also a bit surprised you haven't drawn up SWTOR scenarios involving Kharii, given the Flashpoints and Ops I've seen her in, like Karagga's Palace, Directive 7 or the two involving Czerka Corporation.

Thank you! I really wanted to pull this one out of the bag, been having a lot of fun working out new ways of painting water (it's been a while lol) and the shell texture. I kept it as simple as possible in the end, just blending 3 - 5 colours on each segment with a hard blender rather than the smooth. And you are right, this is my first painting of a Yozusk Hadn't thought about that, I tend to lump all fantasy creatures in one category.
I have done quite a few sketches of Kharii in various poses, I will, one day, get round to colouring some of them. She has a fair few spots in my gallery already, but a full body action shot wouldn't go amiss
Directive 7 had to be one of my fav fp's, who doesn't love a giant psychotic artificial intelligence? Glados anyone?

Don't look right now, but . . . behind you . . .
I hope that's his pet or something, because it looks hungry. And like it might want to pretendΒ it is a headcrab from Half-Life.

That's one heck of a 'behind you' too
A headcrab on miracle grow maybe? Β Sadly, this is not his pet.

Hard to notice the drool landing on his head when it's raining.
P.S. Sent you an email!

Can't even say "at least the drool is warm." It's a jungle climate, albeit a stormy one, the rain is warm too!
I just checked my email too and I am still reeling from the awesomeness of it all. Sent you one back.
And there's also this, hope you don't mind me nabbing the pic you took of my bunnies! bluebutbeautiful.tumblr.com/poβ¦

The poor fellow is doomed! His friends are probably safe and dry somewhere miles away, saying, "Wandering alone in the jungle in the rain? Has he lost his head?" Nooooo, but he will! You are more than welcome to use it.
