break in sketch for my new sketchbookQuick sketch for the fox. still in lineart because i don't know what to do with it yet. i'll probably end up and inking it and watercolouring it.

i tryed to do a good believable back curve in this because the backs in a lot of my older drawings kinda looked a bit odd if you saw real people doing them.....

Nice! I really like how on her extended foot, one toe is seperated fromthe rest. It makes it look more natural. Line weights are all good and the figure looks nice and solid.

As I said, these are nit-picks. But when I see a really good piece like this, I cant help myself.
The bent leg: the actual foot part is a little on the thin side I think. If you compare it to the size of her wrist, you will see that her wrist is thicker. A foot that carries most of the wieght of the form should be a tad stouter.
The neck: This is mostly personal preferance talking, but her neck looks a tad on the thick side. If you brought the outside line, the one going from shoulder the base of the skull, in just a touch I think it would enforce the sleek sexyness thing that she's got goin on.

XD good, i need more coaxing towards thinner necks. i have a habit of making them too thick because i've grown up watching artists work who commonly have big floofy ruffs of fur around the neck that seems to have rubbed off one me...... problem being i don't do floofy neck scruffs. though i have pushed myself to do a thinner neck in this picture, you are very right, making the neck a bit thinner would add that nice touch.
and i'm amazed you noticed something wrong in the right foot first instead of the left foot XD. the left foot is way too broad for the ankle. the right is a bit thin though, i was worried that making it broader would make it look odd. i'll have a fiddle around with it before i ink it and see if i can fix it up because it does look off being so thin. i need to find a good middle ground.
