July 2008: Pidgeot tutorialPlease visit my site to view the full tutorial [link]
Here are some Pidgeot poses for you to enjoy. The first shows Pidgeot flying. Pidgeot may act like an eagle, but it is in fact nothing more than a gloryfied pidgeon. Its wings also resemble those of a pidgeon, rather than those of a bird of prey. Still, like real pidgeons, it is a very good flyer. The next shot shows Pidgeot flapping its wings, in order to kick up a whirlwind or a sand attack (whichever you prefer). There is also a shot of Pidgeot taking a little nap. Real birds will generally tuck in one leg and hide their beaks under one of their wings. Also make sure that the tail is pointed straight back, so the bird will remain balanced. The last shot shows Pidgeot adopting a menacing pose reserved for ground battles. Its wings are swept back, ready to strike forward when nessecary. And the Pidgeot is standing on one leg, while raising the other one to threaten its foe with its talons. As far as I know, this is usually a defensive pose.

The only thing is that Pidgeot's pokedex entry says it hunts Magicarp, so I do see it as more of a falcon or other bird of pery.

Yeah, I'm inclined to agree with you now, at least for Pidgeot and Pidgeotto. It's been a while since I made this tutorial, and I wouldn't take it too seriously.

Eagles, falcons... birds of prey, basically. Nintendo never really specified which one it was. I always say eagle because it sounds more intimidating.
But Pidgeot's name does give away it's true origins, especially if you also consider that Pidgey is its baby-form. It's basically just a pigeon.
