I don't draw him as realistically as you do, but one of my favorite charectors to draw is white-on-white-on-white, so I know how difficult is it to get depth and feeling from such a painting, but you did great. It just makes the red seem so much more profound, adds so much sadness, more so than black ever could. great job!

Eh...I went to school with and watched the teachers drag him through the mud for not drawing realistically, but now he's got a job doing video game design, so hey. I don't think the style is what makes are 'good'. I think it's the content. I think a lot of people are threatened by anime simply because it's everywhere on DA now.

Heh. I was lucky enough to have a high school art teacher that was sort of like a modern hippy; peace and love for all art! And that's a good point; i like realism, personally, but that doesn't make it superior to anything else; if I thought that, I wouldn't still draw anime art! XD
