I can't speak to many of them, having only played three, but Shadow Dragon (the remake of the first for DS) is considered the worst of the series, but the other two I've played I absolutely love: Path of Radiance for Gamecube and its sequel, Radiant Dawn, for Wii. I've also heard Fire Emblem: The Sacred Stones for GBA is good. I haven't played that yet, but my friend owns it and says it's good... so I take her at her word. xD

Awesome. I'm still stumped as to why Nintendo failed to bring the series over here sooner, especially with the explosion of RPGs during the late 8-bit era.

Well, the series hasn't really been all that popular, unfortunately... it's one of Nintendo's less-known franchises. Half the people I know only know about Marth, Roy and Ike because of Super Smash Brothers. It's sad, really.
