Description This was originally made for my personal offline art folder/HTML database.Β  For the past 12 years, I've more or less used USB flash drives as my primary portable media for my art projects.
Also, in a few months flash drive prices should be dropping in price if the trend over the last few years continue.Β  Then it will be time for my yearly data migration, this time to a 128GB or 256GB flash drive.

Cerebro, that I like! I haven't named flash drives, but all of my routers have Batman names.

I have a 16GB version of this USB flash drive, it's the EXACT same one! Β Talk about cool! <3

Ditto, it comes in handy for random files and video.

I used to put old banjo-kazooie hacking files on it a year or so ago. Β The project got cancelled, but it was fun while it lasted.

Sounds like fun.Β  I was working on a Super Wacky World ROM hack ages ago and got too distracted to make much progress on it.

SanDisk drives are my favorite! I don't think that I would ever buy another brand.

My laptop has USB 3.0, so I able to take full advantage of the speed of my SanDisk USB 3.0 64 GB flash drive. It's extremely fast hooked up to my USB 3.0 Anker USB hub. Here's the flash drive: www.amazon.com/dp/B00DZPUOUI/.

I bought it for $59.95. It now sells for $34.85.

With this flash drive, I can back up my data in a mere matter of minutes. I guess that's why it's called "SanDisk Extreme."

Anyway, I love your animation!

SanDisk is one of my favorite brands as well.Β  And nice find you've got there.Β  I only have a couple USB 3.0 flash drives and they are those controversial Lexar releases that had older memory (as in it was maxed out at the highest USB 2.0 speed even when used on a USB 3.0 port).

I'd be more concerned if it weren't for the fact that the Cruzer Glide is probably the most common flash drive you'll find on the market.

Yep, the price/performance is hard to beat.Β  On occasion I do also pick up EMC, Kingston and PNY flash drives when they go on sale.

Β  Seriously, I hear from quite a few people that they have a dead flash drive somewhere.Β  I still haven't had one fail on me.Β  Even my 128MB Lexar JumpDrive Secure from 2004 is still holding files okay.

Well, it's kinda hard to be gentle on your stuff when you have a lot of computers to work on.

BLUEamnesiac In reply to NS-Games [2016-03-10 23:34:24 +0000 UTC]

True.Β  I finally saw my uncle's PC setup yesterday.Β  He surprisingly keeps his even more dust, ding and scratch free than I do.Β  But when I look at my cousin's... it's a mangled mess of a machine that still functions for some odd reason.

NS-Games In reply to BLUEamnesiac [2016-03-11 00:37:40 +0000 UTC]

Most of the machines I work on tend to be the latter.

I'd imagine so.Β  Currently trying to think of a new career to work my way into and everyone keeps suggesting computer repair or IT since I'm the "computer guy."

NS-Games In reply to BLUEamnesiac [2016-03-16 23:14:59 +0000 UTC]

Trust me on on this, you'll see a lot more mangled mess machines working in computer repair.

Just FYI, it's a career I'm already in.

Oh yeah, sorry...
To answer your question there, it can get a bit tiring on some occasions. Some days you may have very little going on. Other days it seems like the world can't survive without you.

That's not bad. Though I'd be concerned if your job was at Apple's Genius Bar. That title implies a lot and might trigger random questions from weird people.

Yeah, I'm not sure why I'm hesitant to admit that. It's a good job, and we do a lot of good work. But I feel like some people around here may have the wrong opinion about us and they maybe quick to judge my opinion because of it.
