I was buried in a self-inflicted pile of projects when I first created Sylvia, so she kinda got pushed to the wayside. Now that I’ve punched my way through the pile a bit, I can refine her design a bit more!

She’s a smidgen taller now (your antennae don’t count though, sorry) and a bit older and more elegant looking. I’ve always intended for her to be an adult, but she really didn’t look it before. Also, while her cartoony look was cute, she didn’t fit with the rest of my characters. She’s still the unwilling comic relief though, ahaha. She wants to be taken seriously, but people generally don’t when you’re just barely over 4 feet tall, squeak, and obliviously wander into danger only to run away screaming all the time.

Lastly, Sylvia has a surname now! It’s Rhodes, which is inspired by “Rhodinia fugax”, the scientific name of the silkmoth she’s based off of.
