[On Tumblr]This is essentially my first experience with the Chain Dash ability in the game Hyper Light Drifter. The only difference is that there would be hysterical laughter where panel 6 is.
Seriously, though. The audio-visual feedback when you bash the Drifter's face into a wall is just spot on. I love the animations in Hyper Light Drifter so much.
I drew the chain dash room from memory, so it's a bit inaccurate. Also, have mercy on my background drawing skills. This was only going to be a sketch comic before I took things too far and ended up lining and coloring everything. And I just suck at drawing buildings in general...
Lastly, I absolutely blame NightMargin for my addiction to Hyper Light Drifter since she's been posting HLD propaganda to Tumblr for like the past two years. I ain't even mad.

Taking into account how I play HLD, who needs to heal unless you're at one HP? Those medkits are precious! MEDKIT EFFICIENCY! WALK IT OFF, SOLDIER!
Either that or just face plant into one of those warp pads, they heal you somehow.

LOL Dashing behind cover has never been more fun/reckless.
I like the dust marks as the drifter slides on the floor, it's a good detail.

I still can't get over all the misadventures I've had with chain dash... It probably gets me hurt more than the actual enemies. The fire chain dash puzzles in the East suck.
