So, another hiatus. Sorry about that. My job leaves me exhausted all day, so I don't really get much time to sit and draw, write, or play video games. I know the last post teased a RWBY piece, but, like I said, I haven't had a lot of time to do the stuff I want to do. So, in the few hours of free time I had today, I decided to try my hand at drawing some sprites. It's something I've always wanted to try but never did until now. So, for my first real attempt at spriting, I decided to draw out my good pal Sonic. After playing the demo for Freedom Planet 2, and remembering that concept for a crossover story I had a while back, I wanted to see how good Sonic would look in that art style. I'd seen a few attempts online, but none of them really looked how I felt he should look. So, I decided to try it out myself, and I'm really proud of the results. I put him next to Lilac for comparison and used her as a basis for the overall proportions he should have. I tried to make him fit the art style while also remaining faithful to his design, and I feel I got a nice balance. I'd love to hear you guy's thoughts. Maybe I'll end up making a full sprite sheet eventually, then someone could use it to mod Sonic into Freedom Planet 2 when it comes out. That would be a dream come true. No promises for anything else soon as I doubt my schedule would allow me to post regularly.
