Description
They call me a dreamer, well, maybe I amBut I know that I'm burnin' to see
Those far away places with the strange soundin' names
Callin', callin' me
I pray for the day when I'll find a way
Those far away places to see
Those far away places with the strange soundin' names
Callin', callin' me
(Bing Crosby 'Far Away Places')
Oil on canvas board. Yes, it's Gallifrey, a place that I visit quite often in dreams.
Doctor Who and thereby stuff within it (ie Gallifrey) is the property of the BBC and etc, etc...

Gallifrey, one of my favorite planetsΒ , despite the fact that it is a comformist dystopia and I get nose bleeds when the air is dry(sp?) and from what I've researched Gallifrey's air is a lot dryer(sp?) than the air on EarthΒ .Β
I Β the fact that you did this in van Gogh's style , I have always been a fan of Vincent Van Gogh's since I was a kid.Β Β

My favorite planet too! Although I would probably live with the sheboogans outside the city and hang out with mountain hermits. Heh heh. Yeah, it is discribed as a lot drier, but in the Gallifrey series (Big Finish) there are a couple hints at there being a tropical zone to the south. Also alternate universe Romana 1 has a grape vinyard, so it kinda sounds to me a bit like California: a bit deserty in some places but really nice in others.
Van Gogh is my favorite artist. Everything he created was just so freakin' beautiful on so many levels. There was once a painting of his on display at the Portland Art Museum, and it literally took a security guard staring me down to get me to finally move on.

Thanks! I wasn't really even going for a sad atmosphere, but I'm glad it comes across.
