Social commentary and satire from an on/off TLK fan, I suppose!Pretty much made for fun and as a spoof.
Would've been perfect for April Fools but I'm such a slow worker. XD
This is a joke, btw. Not really meant to be taken seriously.
This is just me slowly trying to get back into TLK related stuff---
while also taking a jab at the thing that honestly bothers me the most.

I agree with this. I was no fan of how they were depicted in TLK, and certainly did not like the "all predators except lions are awful evil beings who only kill so let's please let them starve and die" TLG presented, either. The people always seem to forget that lions are just as much predators as the others, and that liking or preferring one species does not automatically make the others idiots and evil. Lions and hyenas may be real-life enemies, but that's not because either of them is evil, just because they are two apex predators vying over resources.
I try to make my hyenas equals in culture and character to my lions, even if I do prefer to write about the lions, but I don't know how well I pull it off (since they don't get as much face time), but that personal preference and not that I think hyenas are somehow less worthy to exist or be treated well in a storyline. Might be fun to do a story sometime that is only the hyena's side of the story or just about hyenas in general, though.

I never was to much into TLK. At least not really in the fandom. I have read a really good fancomic that picks up In-between-storys of the movie and some theories which I think is really good. There was also a Hyena that was actually a good friend with Koppa as far I remember owo

There are so many more interesting story lines if the hyenas have a strong matriarchy (as they do in real life) that clashes with the patriarchy of the lions.

I'm tired of seeing either a lion-butt kissing hyena or an evil overused villain hyena. And when there's an in between, everyone hates it. This is actually pretty funny, lol! You also forgot one, the ones that don't know other species of hyena exist.

Glad I'm not alone on this.. XD So tired of seeing hyenas being treated like this, like anything, there's good ones out there too, among the bad ones.
