DigiSoul Charge and Digivolve just does not mix. As does DigiSoul and DNA.
also, I would say that there is another Evo awaiting....and one of those rare Situations where Masaru can use his DigiSoul without punching.
And ofcourse an example of Multipath Evolution!

Well we have DigiCode, Digivice, DigiSoul, Digi-Bucks, DigiTama/DigiEgg, DigiMental, DigiPlates (these being in the original JP version alone), I don't really see what's wrong with the word Digivolve personally. I just like the word because it's short for Digital Evolution and it emphasizes the Digital nature of the Digimon. Considering the other terms with 'Digi' attached to it, why is it any stranger than the other Digi-Terms? (lol, couldn't help myself, sorry).
Heck, Digimon Adventure 02's original version attempted to make use of the word Digivolve on one occasion (albeit in Spanish), so it would appear that the JP people might have some interest in the word. They also made use of DigiDestined, but Engrishing it into DigiDestiny.
I mentioned this before , but when Dan says DNA Charge, (while it is a reference to the dub) it also specifically refers to his actual DNA when he fuses with Betamon, just making it sound more technical. Davis uses DNA Charge because he's Davis. Though in a comical fashion, he'll probably get corrected by Yoshino or someone.
Also Digimon Natural Ability, wasn't that originally in the Digimon Accelerator?

The difference? Well, in the japenese Version all those term where actually thought trough and did not create continuity issues, while in the US Dub, they just slapped Digi on everything without thinking ( seriously, Nimoy said that himself ) and created the whole, DigiDollar issue, to name an example.
Yes, I know they tried it in Adventure 02, but it did not really work...like some other things in Adventure 02.
I also saw that once in a Fanfic, where one of the characters is American ( okay, actually two, but he is the one to use dub terms ) and no one understands what he wants. Red, a MegaloGrowmon even threats to cut him into little pieces because he calls him a WarGrowlmon, with Red understanding Wogglemon, interpreting it as an insult...same with "Blaze! Digivolve!", where it is interpreted as DigiWolf, with Otohime, a female Dracomon, remarking that Blaze is a Coronamon therefore a Cat and not a Wolf...
So in case of Dan it is his actual DNA and in case of Daisuke his stupidity.
Yes, DNA was used in the Accel, but unlike Savers it is not the power of emotion, where DigiSoul clearly fits better, with DNA not ftting at all. And to be honest, the Dubbers and Bandai America fail at keeping track of their terms anyways...

True, the dub had that habit. It makes me think of a line from Blue Sky's version of Horton Hears a Who:
"Ya know, putting 'Who' in front of anything doesn't automatically make it any better!"
I always sort of thought of the dubbers noticing all of the 'Digi-Things' already in the JP version, took the ball and got carried away. Data Squad at least didn't contain that joke, that is, not as frequently as Adventure and 02's dubs.
Yeah Bandai America and Dubbers never kept anything straight. Bandai American sometimes kept terms closer to the JP version from what I noticed, (not all the time, but some of the time). The dub tends to go off on it's own direction with terms like Crusadermon/LoadKnightmon for example.
Then there's Flamedramon's attacks that was never kept straight.
A joke about that from McFeely's fics comes to mind:
Flamedramon: THE ATTACK WHERE I SHOOT FIRE OUT OF MY HANDS!!
It was strange that DigiSoul was kept in Digimon World Data Squad, while it was evidently changed at the last minute to Digimon Natural Ability in the anime. From what I heard, it seems like it was implied Toei or Bandai requested the change to DNA. If it was to make some sort of reference to the Accel, it falls flat to everyone not familar to the Accel. Though, in one aspect Digimon Natural Ability is similar to DigiSoul, at least in that they both allow Evolution.

Japanese Version had a lot less things with DigiPrefix back then when they started it. No DigiSoul, Code, Bucks....
And Bandai America and the Dubbers really have a communication problem, as best shown by the two Kumamon. With none of them being called that in the original...
Typical Communication problem, just like Sleipmon and Yatagaramon kept their names in the games, with the latter sometimes being called Yatakaramon...
Obscure Reference only a few get = Epic Fail.

Goofymon probably is.
Mostly because I'm experimenting with what else Modokimon could become.

Yeah, her Digimon is actually called ModokiBetamon, but just for simplicity's sake, I refer to the character as Modokimon for short.
