Lately I've been contemplating a soft reboot. Not a massive overhaul like Archie Sonic, but mostly going back and redoing a couple of things I've felt a little iffy on after re-reading them. One thing was the origin story of Dan, Reiji, Ray and Melody in particular as well as the choices in Custom forms I had back then.

So I came up with this concept for a new 'starter' Custom form for Betamon to replace Convoymon, wanting to having something a tad more original instead. After being inspired by a local Omnimon and his desire to protect Melody, Dan instead thinks of superheroes rather than Autobots creating this character. I'm not sure what to actually call this Digimon, but it was inspired by combining aspects of Gekomon, Feedback, and Spider-Man. This Digimon can fire USB cables similar to how Spidey can sling webs, but these cords can plug in and disrupt enemy data similar to Feedback's powers. He can also use them to hack computers, which brings a new meaning to web slinging. Because he's intended to have frog like powers, the cables are meant to act like a frog darting its tongue, and he can also inflate special sacks on his palms to use as shields or weapons.

The original idea was sort of a cartoony frog superhero character with a cape, but then it unintentionally evolved into something more Incursean oriented. I tried putting a scarf on him, but it made him too Greninja like. XD;
Instead I considered giving him a jetpack made out of an 8-track player and Gekomon's horns, which allow him to fly using soundwaves as propulsion.

I feel like robots and Doggymon go hand and hand, so I tried experimenting with a new robot form for him to Digivolve into as opposed to just turning into Rush like he did originally.

Dan and Melody's relationship is essentially the same, but there are some extra factors in their life such as an Omnimon that works as sort of a local superhero that protects the innocent. Possibly the Royal Knights and Olympians function as sort of a Justice League within Council Zone, but I'm not sure of that idea ATM. The Dark Area Council still serves as the main antagonists, clashing with Omnimon, but quickly turn their sights on Dan like before.

I was also experimenting with a Custom form for Dinomon called DashRyumon, which conceptually is kinda similar to XLR8/velociraptors.
