Two dudes who never really got a chance to make up for their bad reputation in more recent franchise installments. I mean, I guess if you think about it, Jar Jar got off easier, he actually gets to show up and actually do stuff in Clone Wars and that Darth Jar Jar theory is picking up steam. (One of the better thought out "this character is actually EVIL" theories I've seen) Last we saw of Scrappy in a Scooby Doo series, it was in statue form with Fred and Daphne saying they were to never speak of him after some unspecified incident. Yikes, he wasn't THAT bad, just super impulsive. If Jar Jar was less clumsy comic relief and more "average joe dragged into situation he was definitely not prepared for", he might have gone over better.
Some people actually liked the Ewok films, though I've seen Turkish Star Wars and let me tell ya, comprehensibility is not its strong suit. I'd take The Phantom Menace over it any day. Though if we're looking for the BEST Star Wars film to watch on this day that isn't well known (or really a Star Wars movie, period), you gotta go with Message From Space aka Shotaro Ishinomori's Tokusatsu Star Wars. It's actually pretty fun!

I do genuinely like Scrappy myself. Mostly because my first Scooby Doo cartoons were the specials featuring him, Shaggy and Scooby such as The Ghoul School.Β
Jar Jar I don't mind; I actually really like his species the Gungans, but he's far from my favorite Star Wars character.
Pry the irony is Jar Jar's gained a bit of popularity in the fan theory that he may actually be a powerful Sith Lord that manipulated the events of the prequels.

Scrappy is an alright character. It's just that nobody knows how to write him. Sort of like Silver, except Silver had people who knew how to write that character. I always thought the fan theory stemmed from the ending of the 3rd Robot Chicken Star Wars special where it turned out JarJar was behind everything including Palpatine.Β
