Description
We had a cookout at work earlier today, and I ate too much. >w<;;;I can't help myself when it comes to burgers or dogs hot off the grill.
Anyway, I was watching some friends playing cornhole (it's like skeeball only you throw beanbags into holes for those potentially unfamiliar with it), and wondered what that that would be like as an anime in a vein similar to Beyblade. (Those Shogun toys look awesome, btw.)
So with not too much to do today, I started poking around with character designs and came up with this guy called Kernel.
Sort of inspired from Bakugan and Slugterra, I thought of the Beanbags being thrown and turning into Monsters. The monsters would fight, trying to disorient each other from properly diving into the intended cornhole. That was inspired from noticing that everyone was a terrible shot (and I'm the worst shot in the Fairy Academy) and for trying to make the game more interesting since I was never that big of a fan of it. =w=;;;
One design stipulation I had with the monsters sort of resemble stitched together dolls with minor corn themed or burlap sack parts. (An elephant character I sketched has corn cobs as tusks and burlap textured ears for example). Kernel has corn shaped scales, thighs and a popcorn shaped skull as a more specific example.
I feel kinda silly putting this much thought into this when I'm not even sure I'll truely do anything with it. The idea of making it into a kids story to publish is appealing, though it may wind up being part of Bangteng/Ideaz as an anime Buster likes/Austin is aware of.

Kernel is really adorable~
I would actually watch this if this were an anime. o_O Though I wouldn't oppose to him being a Bangteng character either! He looks like he would fit into the 'verse just fine

This... is a pretty interesting design.
I feel a Marowak vibe for some reason though...

You should make it series more of a send up/parody to those type of series. Like poke fun at the overdramatic nature of the shows at times. But if it's not going to be a full story, make it a short!

Very interesting concept. Β It's unlike anything I've heard before, so it'd definitely be a unique idea. Β It'd be pretty interesting if there was an alternate world concept to go along with it, like Digimon and the Digital World, where everything is looking stitched/etc., so the humans could actually do that "they're real creatures with feelings too/we can totally bond!" thing and have dedicated partners . Β Of course, given the right kind of substance, the humans wouldn't have to be sideliners either, and could get involved with the battles and such~

Haha. The idea of a stitched together world sounds kinda cool actually! :3
I wasn't thinking of another world initially but that could be fun!

The thing about art is it does not always need to have a purpose except to exist and to be interpreted, in order to inspire, it does not always need to follow a specific plan.

^^Well glad someone's seeing the wisdom in my words again. Know it well Dan-san, for there are many differences one can come to in their own conclusions.
