Yes I still have this concept in the works.
Expanding upon the human characters we have Blue/Dan, Mayura/Digistar on the Autobots side while Reiji is naturally siding with the Decepticons.
And keeping in line with the Digimon feel of this series, the kids are essentially partnered with Mini-Con versions of their Digimon.

First up is Beta:
A bit of a pessimist, but despite that he sees Blue as a sibling that he feels he needs to look after and protect. He dislikes Decepticons and anyone/thing associated with them. He has taken an interest in comics and cartoons thanks to Blue and has become a bit of an otaku as a result.
Alt Mode: Hoverboard

Black:
A Decepticon alligned Mini-Con. His brain isn't particularly sophisticated however as he tends to make some rather stupid decisions. He also tends to speak aloud his thoughts which often gives him a dent in the head by Reiji or the Decepticons. His savagery in battle makes up for his limited intelligence though.
Alt Mode: A Cybertronian buggy/missile launcher combo

Imp:
He's loud, mischivous, obnoxious and sometimes a jerk, but deep down he has a good spark and his intentions are sometimes good. Sometimes... He enjoys joyriding with Mayura and Masaru in his spare tim, pulling pranks on Touma, and sneaking peaks at Yoshi, Miki and Megumi minus their torso plates.
Alt Mode: Motorcycle

All three kids' personalities are more or less the same as they are in Digimon Zone. Particularly Mayura who sports an infatuation to Convoy similar to her Zone counterpart.
The three sport battle suits although Blue and Mayura's were designed primarily to protect them rather than fight. (The suits are a nod to the Victories from the Transformers Victory manga). Using their MasterForce they can charge it into their partners and have them Transform into weapons they can use to help fight in the Transformers War.
