Been getting into Yokai Watch again since it's recent foray into America. I haven't bought the game (yet), but I have been watching the Dub and recently bought the first two books of the manga series. Like before, I asked on Tumblr who I should draw from Yokai Watch. Komasan, Komajiro, one of their evolved forms I forgot what it was called, and Happierre were the suggestions, but as you can see I threw in some others that I thought'd be fun to draw.Related content

This show is interesting when I watched it. And this yoke called Indy Jaws, I couldn't help but imagine him in the Temple of Doom segment where he says, "WE...ARE...GOING....TO DIE!!"

Aaaaah, I love Yokai Watch! <3 When I heard it was gonna be English-dubbed, I was a bit uncertain at how it was gonna do (after seeing several English-dubbed shows, I was a bit skeptical); but after watching it and playing the game, I was really impressed at how they managed to keep a lot of stuff from the Japanese-dubbed more than other shows (plus the English names of some of the Yokai are lot easier to remember -w-). It's totally awesome!
btw, the evolved forms of Komasan and Komajiro are called Komane and Komiger respectively in the dubbed.

I love all the dub names of the Yokai, easier to remember, and just very punny. Kinda like Dragon Quest Monsters' creature names, lol.

I love Yokai Watch! I would like to watch it dubbed in Spanish... but I think that its sense of humor wasn't understand very well here...

Yeah, I'd totally say there's bound to be some jokes that are lost in translation. Though even watching it subbed, some of the jokes still go over my head, lol. Guess I'm not very cultured, lol.

Anyway the dub is solid. I like it.
I don't think it'll catch on here though. Level 5 came in thinking it'd be easy to upend Pokemon here in the US and gave kind of a disconcerted effort initially. Then they throw everything and the kitchen sink near the end, and it doesn't seem to be paying off.
And now it seems that the toys only hit retail after Christmas.
At least I got Insomni!
