Very nice. It really pulls you in. I agree with SteelVenom though. It almost looks like you gave up on the ground. I like how the background trees are sqwigly <-- /me butchered spelling! Could you post the photo too? perhaps a s a scrap even. I am curious to see it.

As soon as I locate it, I will! I did this drawing in ink wash, too. It's definitely not as good (I also didn't spend as much time on it), but I might post it anyway

That is a fucking cool close up. Love your perspective, would be an interesting photo too. The tree bark behind the main branch is unbelievable, i cant find any flaws with this drawing. My only gripe is the background isnt as amazing as the foreground....and thats when i searched for something.

yeah, I tried to do the ground very realistically, but then, I realized it was just covered in leaves, so it was all pattern. I had a lot of fun with it, and it gives the illusion... but I agree, I wish it looked more definitive as 'leaves.'
