Merlynn Martinez was just a nerdy girl in esplanade East High School who had a nack for conspiracy theories. She had just joined the the juniors this year and she’s aiming for any kind of challenge. Lately she’s been in deep trouble with the faculty for trying to expose so called “Conspiracies” . It got so bad that she was placed in detention for trying to proven the janitor was an undercover Nazi trying to recruit students to attack the free world around them. She failed and because her parents were somewhat rich they averted her from being expelled. So as punishment she was forced to have a “Shadow Detention” (Forced to shadow another student without any contact from any student and or teacher until the punishment is lifted.) . She was forced to shadow another student by the name Kevin Liore who was also placed in detention for ditching class everyday around 12pm for the past 3 weeks.

2 days later she was bored out of her mind following around this nerd Kevin. But things tend to change after awhile. The two actually started talking more and more forgetting about their punishment all together. Merlynn started falling for Kevin but every time she would try to express her feeling he always runs off whenever there’s trouble nearby. So when Kevin ran off again she decided to follow him. The passion in her eyes was like car chasing a mouse. Once she caught up with him, she made surprising discovery. She saw him putting on some kind of costume that was blue. All kinds of conspiracy theories shrouded her mind but when she saw what Kevin had become it totally blew her mind out of the gutting. Kevin Liore was “The Blue Jacket”. Merlynn followed Blue Jacket even farther into West Colfax (Most Dangerous district of Denver). Blue Jacket went to an old observatory where it was occupied by known other than Dr.NarWhal, an Overweight Mad scientist with a dark crystal for a horn. Dr.NarWhal was working on a device that can harness that power of a dwarf star with an unknown energy source deep within its core. When Blue Jacket made his presence known, NarWhal had activated the machine. It shot a beam of light at a dwarf Star south side of the sun and drained it to nothing. As the beam was retracting Blue and NarWhal were duking it out. Merlynn started taking pictures of the sight of battle. But when she wasn’t looking Dr.NarWhal was trying to transfer the drained star power to his horn but the cable was too unstable to keep in control. The cable was whipping around the area. Blue Jacket was dodging the cable and NarWhal like something from a cheesy anime fight scene. All seemed well and under control until Blue noticed Merlynn standing in the path of the over powered cable.

The cable struck Merlynn and transferred all of the power straight into her body. Dr.NarWhal tried turning off the machine but it kept pumping her was massive amounts of cosmic energy. He started blaming Merlynn for stealing the energy he wanted badly. So he shot a dark laser at the last remaining circuit of star energy to disrupt it’s transfer. But it did nothing; all it did was absorb his laser and added it to the circuit. By NarWhal’s actions it made the pain of the energy transfer going to Merlynn much more lethal. She screamed in agony. Blue Jacket tried getting close to her but there was too much discharge from the cable knocking him back. Blue Jacket had no other choice but to bomb the transfer machine. NarWhal stood watch as his creation was slowly being destroyed piece by piece. So out of anger he shot a dark laser at Blue knocking him into Merlynn thus braking her free. She body was in shock, skin turned into a shade of purple with hair of dark grey. Blue Jacket woke up long enough to move her body way from his battle. NarWhal came closer and closer knocking broken objects at Blue Jacket. Yet Blue endured every hit trying to move Merlynn’s body. His body could only take so much, he finally fainted under the pain and pressure of NarWhal’s strikes.

Merlynn woke up to see her crush fall at the hands of NarWhal. Though she was in extreme pain she stood and was blocking NarWhal from doing any more harm to Blue Jacket. NarWhal zipped straight for Merlynn and said he was going to drain the power that dwells inside her and gain what is rightfully his. Merlynn became scared and then she shrieked unleashing a fiery green and purple aura. Narwhal was knocked back in the remains of his transfer machine. Merlynn saw her chance to get Blue Jacket and herself out of the building. But out from above NarWhal was about to do a black energy nose dive straight at the two. Merlynn remembered Blue Jacket’s bombs so she took one out of his pocket, charged it with her new found power then threw it at NarWhal blasting him into Oblivion.

30 minutes later a small army from Presque came to assist Blue Jacket in his battle but everything had already been done. Lt.Azure appeared on the scene and took Blue Jacket to the paramedics . Then she offered Merlynn some help controlling her powers. Merlynn accepted the invite but she was more concerned about school and her appearance. Azure told her that she has that covered.

2 Weeks have past and Merlynn is a proud member of Presque. Her code name is “Energy” because she’s hyper and always active.
