I wanted to draw super easy backgrounds so I did this.I think this looks real cute.
I can't draw food so these guys didnt bring more XD
I drew Damon first and then added Andy behind him... That is why his pose is awkward XD I tried.

This is a lovely happy picture, and I love how bright and colourful it is. I love their facial expressions, and I love Damon's pose - I think if you'd added Andy leaning back a little further he may have looked more natural. Also, I think Damon's boots are awesome

Nice use of markers. I really love how the two have a completely different look to them, while at the same time still fit together.
One thing is watch out for simple backgrounds. One thing that backgrounds are used for is directing the eye around the canvas to the subject matter. While having a simple background is better then not having one, it is a good idea to keep in mind that a simple background can actually take away from the subject matter by overpowering it. What I mean by that is I'm finding myself looking more at the contrast between the bush and the sky over the characters. Mostly because of the saturation is so intense right there verses the rest of the piece, but also because there is a diagonal leading off the page, but then nothing to draw me back it. I would suggest looking at some composition tutorials and keep an eye out for notes about breaking up the page.
As for the characters themselves, pretty nice job, I would say check out some stock photos in the Reference category, or just draw from life, to lock in your proportions. I know a lot of people tend to say check out tutorials for anatomy, but I think you would benefit more by just drawing from life since you are almost there proportion wise. I would also say maybe even avoid them at the moment, proportion tutorials I mean.

Yeah, you are totally right about the background. I just never draw those so I have no idea what or how to do it. Composition tutorials are a good idea.
