Description
This was a simple little thing in response to an ask like a couple years ago (I don't remember the context...lol). I dunno, I love coloring Link based off his sprite colors (I tried to make his hair look kinda more natural, if that even makes any sense...). Finding it again I think it's kinda cute I guess.I should of called this Pink to the Past
Probably go to scraps tbh.

The pink hair was a due to palette limitations. Though in fact, this incarnation of the Hero is probably the one to get the most redesigns. Since he was slightly redesigned in Link's Awakening, and completely redesigned in Oracle of Ages and Seasons (and yes it's the same one).
Think this is the first coloured picture I've seen from you.

It's kinda weird though, because why wouldn't they make his hair yellow? They were capable of the color on the system...eh well! I have no problem with the pink (strangely enough, considering I'm extremely fussy with the color lol). I'm sure they have a reason.
When I had MS paint I would draw on there all the time so I could color easily (and much more variety for coloring). I have yet to understand layers and was just losing interest in learning because it confused me so much...but I still want to learn eventually. But broken down in the most simple, plainest way possible, cuz I'm an idiot at this stuff.

It's not about the system being able to render the colour, it's about it being able to render the colour alongside everything else on screen. I'm not much of a techy, but I've seen this explained before. But yeah, it's that it would have difficulty rendering the correct colour alongside the other colours. I'm guessing the Dark World's grass might've had something to do with it.
It's the same reason Agahnim's robes are green instead of red.

Ok, makes sense. Still weird considering Link gets a yellow cap with his blue tunic, but I'm not the one who worked on it and they know what they're doing haha

I'm sure you could find a programmer who could explain it more accurately if you asked. The long and short of it is that the artwork was correct (I say was because the Oracle games redesigned Link and Zelda, leaving the old artwork moot), he was supposed to be blond.

This reminds me of how I need to get the Classic Link model from Hyrule Warriors in my 3d world!
Even though I had to use OoT Link's model for it, I made a 3d picture series of the boss fights from Zelda 2 Adventure of Link.

I'm very happy they added Classic Link to the game, even though I don't own it haha!
Awesome! It's a shame Zelda 2 doesn't have more fan work...

I hope you liked those fan arts I made for it. I put a lot of effort into the bosses looking accurate!
