I've always imagined seeing a Space Jam-like movie with video game characters. But we all know how the Looney Tunes collaboration went. Too many characters isn't good.

Depends on how they use them. I actually liked the use of characters in Space Jam. Everybody had it's fair share of screen time without losing focus from the main story. Heck, when I put it like that, it sounds like a movie should get an Oscar xD

I would go without celebrity player. Not a big fan of animation/live-action mix, except for Who Framed Roger Rabbit, since they built the world around the concept.
But if I had to choose a live action actor in this one, Bill Murray has to make a cameo
