Twilight Velvet and Night Light, Parents of Twilight Sparkle, sat on the couch with each other. It was Hearth Warming's Eve, and they were drinking hot chocolate. The pink aura put down the mare's cup.
Night Light took notice of this.
Night Light: " Velvet? " He asked, wondering why she would put it down without drinking much of it.
Velvet : There was a moment of silent from Velvet, before she began talking. " I'm worried about Twilight. The train should have been here by now. "
Night Light: " Maybe it's late? It is snowing kind of hard tonight. "
Velvet: " There's no way. They would do everything in their power to get ponies here on time. This is Canterlot, and it's Hearth Warming's Eve. There is no way that the train is late. "
Night Light : " We could go see if she's there if you want to. "
Velvet: " I'd like that. " she said with slight happiness.

Night and Velvet made their way to the train station.
Velvet : " Excuse me, sir. Has the 8th hour ponyville train gotten here yet? Somepony we know was supposed to be here about an hour ago. "
Stallion: " Yes. It got here on time. In fact, the 10th hour train will be here in 30 minutes. If you want you can come into the building and wait for it til then. Your friend might have gotten on that one if they missed the '8th' train. "
Velvet: " Alright... Thank you. "

-30 minutes later-
the train arrived at the station and ponies started pouring out. Some were in a obvious rush, Velvet and Night Light assumed those were ponies who missed their original train. The train emptied, but Twilight wasn't in the train.
Velvet: She looked to her husband, wondering about what he was thinking. She knew what she was thinking. She thought something terrible was going on. What if she's fighting some monster or villain again? Or what if she's hurt?
Night Light: " What is it? "
Velvet: " Twilight missed two trains! What if something happened to her! What if she's hurt!
Night Light: " What if she couldn't make it?.... "
Velvet: There was a period of silence from Velvet. " How could you insinuate that?! Do you even know your own daughter?! Twilight Would NEVER break a promise! " Velvet started to cry now. She was heart broken and worried.
Night Light: " That's not what I meant! I mean what I said in words. "
Velvet: " What are you saying?! "
Night Light: " What I mean is what if she couldn't make it, no matter how hard she tried. She's an alicorn now, and Flash is a pegasus. If they were late, they could just fly here. But... "
Velvet: Velvet tried to think rational. Then it clicked into her mind. Twilight was pregnant. She was so flustered at the idea of her daughter's life being in danger, that she forgot how babies were born, maybe she even forgot Twilight was pregnant in the first place.
" Oh my gosh! What if she's having the foal right now?! W-we need to get there! " Velvet ran to the train station office to ask when the soonest train to ponyville was.
Night Light: " Wait!" he said, as he followed her.

-30 minutes later. Again-
The soonest train to ponyville arrived at the station. Velvet and Nightlight ran out of the office as soon as it arrived, they got it ASAP.
Velvet could barely wait to get there, halfly because she was excited to meet the foal, and the other reason was because she was worried about her daughter. There are so many ways a pregnancy can go wrong, what if something went wrong with her daughter's pregnancy?
When they got out it was 12 in the morning. They didn't know where the hospital was, so they went to ask they mare in the office before they shut down for the night. The mare in the office said it'd take them at least 30 minutes to get there if they ran.

So they did. They wanted to get there as soon as possible, even if it meant they'd be out of breath.
Unlike their daughter, they can't teleport very far distances, so that wasn't an option.
When they got there, they were indeed tired, much more than they thought they would be.

Receptionist : " How can I help you two?
Velvet: " We're here to see Twilight Sparkle. "
Receptionist : " Excuse me... But may I ask who you are? "
Night Light: " We're Twilight's parents. " Night Light showed a card of his which proved his identity.
Receptionist : " Oh. Sorry, I thought you were another one of those crazy ponies wanting to see the princess. Ponies these days, never respecting royalty. Honestly, why do they feel like they should but into somepony's life just because that pony is famous. "
Velvet: " So she's here? "
Receptionist : " Of course. Follow me. "

She brought them down the hall and took them to a room.
The room was numbered '42'. She left, and Night Light and Velvet walked into the room.
