A bit of background?
Well, two weeks ago I had my internship training week for grad school. I'm going for my master's in elementary ed so we were talking in one of the seminars about teaching through a language barrier. The professor leading it was going to pretend to be from another planet and have one of the interns try to teach her how to tie a shoe using only words on the level of someone just learning English. So, she asked for us to call out a planet. Naturally, we got the normal ones, and the obligatory "pluto! hahahalookithowfunnyiam" person as well. And the whole time, I couldn't stop thinking that this would be an excellent way to tell your children how you met your future spouse.
I rather like these two characters. I'm thinking about actually naming them and possibly keeping them around. And yes, another red-headed girl from me, for those of you that remember Lily...I dunno, I just felt like using red. And I meant to give her freckles too, but I forgot.

For those of you who don't get it, try watching some Doctor Who. I thought it was the absolute last show I'd ever watch, but I watched it and I'm hooked. Three weeks and I'm caught up to the most recent episode. It's brilliant. And Tennant rules. The end.
