The day finally had come, Riley and Blue had been working really hard on their saddle routines. Lately she had been focusing on English rather then the Western she had originally started Blue with. However she had no problem with that, her mare was so sound and well rounded that she could bounce between the two. The show was located in Nebraska, this was going to be the furthest they had ever traveled. The drive took them 25 hours, and that was without stopping. Riley figured it took them about 40 hours to make it down. They spent some time in South Dakota, looking around and riding the horses. Both of them wanted to give them a bit of a break before continuing on. Alex joined the trip with Ace, luckily they did not need to trailers. Blue usually put him in his place when she wasn't in heat. They both were separated by a barrier in the trailer just in case.

Once they arrived, Riley took Blue out of the trailer and made sure she was groomed, fed and watered. Once they were ready, she saddled her up and they headed out into the ring. Riley was a bit nervous as she was for most of her shows but she never showed it on her face. Blue did the routine amazingly and in the few short minutes they had, they finished. Riley could hear some cheering which always made her happy. Riley took Blue to their corner and gave her some pats and nose scratched as they waited for their results.
