Aww--I barely ever see raccoon artwork, and this is so cute! We have 'coons around my area; the dogs keep them from eating our chickens these days, but they've been quite troublesome in past years. I really like the medium here, and the way that the texture of the surface can be seen. The colors make the animal just stand out in 3D and look soft and fluffy at the same time.

There are a lot of racoons around where I live too. I've actually mistaken them for cats a few times until they go closer. I was working from a stuffed model from, I think, the natural history center in town and a few pictures I checked out from the library.
Thanks! I was trying to make him as alive looking as possible.
