I think Megatron enjoys the challenge of someone trying to overthrow him and sometimes he does underestimate Starscream's capabilities because he can be lethal if he wants to.

Why do I get the feeling Starscream didn't write that. I can see him just going on about how he has no imperfections and thus has no reason to take part in this "silly, trivial Earth culture sign holding" and continued to monologue until Megatron scribbled those words on a sign and shoved it to him with a grin.

Also true, Starscream would never write that about himself. Only Megatron could force such a board on him unless Knockout made a bet with him and he lost so he now has to hold that sign up around the nemesis XD

Haha! Yeah! The bet idea is funny as well but I'd still say Megatron was the one who made it because of the "I'm a disappointment to Megatron and the Decepticon cause" line. Old Megs would probably make him wear the sign around as punishment, poor Star. I can imagine the scene vividly, Starscream going into his nonstop talk mode, making lots of gestures as it is the Starscream way and Megatron just looks at him blankly look before starting to write the sign with the smuggest of smirks. X)
