Started watching Villainous and I love it!! Had to do some sketches
Have to admit that Black Hat's voice acting confuses me a little, it sounds like he's trying to do fancy British but then it switches to something else. I think Stingray's voice actor would have suited him :,D

"Sounds like he's trying to do fancy British but then it switches to something else" => Well that's pretty much exactly what's going on. Show creator&BH VA commented on how English wasn't BH's first language (and neither was Spanish) so you know that accent is fake as fuck in-universe.
Meaning his VA is some Mexican guy pretending to be a demon(?) who's pretending to be British. Does a decent job, all things considered.

Well, I found out, that the guy who created Villainous voices both the English and the Spanish so I don't think I can judge anymore, he's pretty damn good at not letting his accent go into his English dialogue.Β

Seeing him switch to BH's voice feels really weird too? Like, he looks like such a nice and friendly dude so seeing BH's voice come from that face made me go "wait what???" the first time xD

Are you talking about the English dub? Personally I don't like it, it feels like the actor do not try enough.
So IΒ rather watch it in the original language ^^
