Atlantis

^^ New character.
I'm very proud of the design.
She was going to be a single adopt, but I just fell in love with her. I couldn't help it. XD And her markings reminded me of the glow-y tattoo markings all over everything in the Atlantis movie, so that's where her name came from. XD

Age: 120 human years
Gender: Female
Race: Canine
Species: Very large wolf
Breed: Timber/Tundra mix (we think)
Height: 3'7" at the shoulders
Weight: ???

Personality: Depressing to be around. She doesn't mean to be, but she can't seem to stay happy. The occasion sad smile is the only thing that turns up the corners of her mouth, and even that's rare. She rarely or never laughs, even quietly to herself. She's just not a happy wolf. She doesn't always know why she's depressed, she's just always been that way. She's tried to change several times. Atlantis' mood can dampen even the most jovial of souls, so she doesn't like to hang around others very often. She feel's she's a burden and doesn't like to be a hinderance to others. This often does not help her mood very much.... Although she's always sad, she is very kind. She dislikes fighting and isn't very good at it. For something so large she's very docile. She'll take a lot of crap from someone. She gets taken advantage of and stepped on a lot, but she doesn't seem to care. Or... maybe she does, it's hard to tell.

Brief History: Like the city after which she's named, little to nothing is really known about Atlantis, except rumors and stories. She doesn't divulge much, just keeps it all bottled inside. What seems to be the common story, though, is that she was a member of an elite pack of huge warrior wolves. The wolves were bred for thier size, stamina, speed and cunning. They were the bodyguards of the ancient forests. They were once quite well known, but over the years the breeding stock that they required to make such large wolves dwindled untill they were just a rare handfull. They became myths and legends. The packs hid away in the deepest parts of what was left of thier forests, or drifted to the mountains. Atlantis bares a great resemblance to what is said they used to look like: shades of grey from deepest black to brightest white, and odd, unatural shades of pale blues and greens. And, of course, the size. Weather or not this eliete race of wolves ever even existed though is... debatable. But the stories still remain, nonetheless.

Atlantis is going to be a part of a story I'm hoping to right.... It's focused around her, looking for where she came from.
And she's always depressed because she thinks all the time about things that go on in the world and it's all very sad. She can't help but think about it. So she's always down. She perks up occasionally, but only in the pressence of her friends and it's no more than shy smiles and maybe the occasional soft laugh.
She's never been in love (though I think that's about to change...) and never known any family other than the small pack of red wolves that raised her from a pup.
OH YEAH.

And yesh, she's blind. XP
But you can't tell unless you ask or someone tells you, because her scence of smell and hearing are so finely tuned that almost nothing escapes her notice. But alot of people think it's one reason she's depressed, because she can't see the beauty in the world, she can only hear about the bad things. And it's true, that is a factor...
She's been blind since birth. (or so we think)
