Personality: Angus is a gruff warrior/chieftain with a dry sense of humor. He is a tough, no-nonsense father and tends to favor the shaman's son, whom he does not realize is promiscuous, and he is shrew over his son Conall, who he considers soft and wimpy. He degrades his son by calling him a "dumbass", among other names, and often makes the infamous "my-foot-in-your-ass" threats when he thinks Conall is being a smart mouth. He also uses this threat against many others who annoy him. He also experiences great difficulty in saying "I love you", "Thank you", and "I'm sorry" to Conall. Angus is universally feared all throughout the Réalta Tribe, especially by teenagers, and he likes it that way.

Backstory: Angus was born into the tribe at a rather dark time, when food was scarce and there weren't enough hunters willing to travel far from home just to hunt. This was also before the tribe worked on making allies out of neighboring tribes. His father was also very dismissive of him often, which lead to him learning lots of things the hard way, namely the dangers of wild beasts and rival tribes. He got a long scar from his wrist to his elbow from a saber belonging to a tribe that hated his father on his left arm and various other scars from getting too close to a pack of wild worgs, mistaking them for his tribes worgs. Angus always came home with injuries because of his fathers lack of mentoring. It took other men of the tribe to actually help him learn necessary skills of survival and such, causing him to despise his own father when realizing all that he never taught him that would've saved him all the pain from his past mistakes. When 26, his father was murdered by an rival tribe called Fiach, which started a war. Angus' first act as new chieftain was leading said war. Because of the Réalta Tribe's keen fighting and hunting skills, they easily won the war with few casualties. One of the casualties was Angus' close friend and mother. When looting the now extinct Fiach Tribe, he and his comrades discovered multiple families in hiding, one of the women attempting to fight them off was a beautiful herbalist named Calista. He discovered they were actually captives from a different tribe the Fiach Tribe wiped out, and Calista, along with her friends and their children were meant to be married off to the men of the tribe Angus defeated. It was his decision to welcome the ex-captives into the Réalta Tribe to either become members or just until they got back on their feet. Calista and two of her five friends stayed. Angus and Calista had fallen in love after getting over how annoying they were to each other, which they were then quick to get married. But after a few years, it was made known that they would have trouble having children, losing their first two until Conall was finally born. While Angus was overjoyed to finally have a son, he felt obligated to be hard on the boy to toughen him up, even if Calista didn't exactly agree.

Personality: Calista is described as a supportive mother and chieftess. She displays herself as being a fierce encouragement to her family, viewing her son's presentation with pride and later motivating him to learn duties as a chieftain from his father. Unlike Angus, who is tough and rather unforgiving in his guidance, Calista is much softer, shown to be especially affectionate when dealing with her son, whom she is especially patient with. Not only is Calista gentle and soft-spoken, but she is also a doting mother who is not afraid to tease. Through her son's many kiddish complaints, she keeps a smile on her face, proving herself willing to embarrass him if she believes that she is serving his best interests. Despite her joking nature, she is wise enough to keep her family safe, willing to put barriers on Conall in order to keep him from harming himself and his friends. Her easygoing approach to parenting is not of an overly lenient nature but strict enough to keep Conall on the right track, rendering her just as protective of her son as Angus.

Backstory: Calista was a herbalist of her birth tribe, taking after both her parents. When only 20, her entire tribe was attacked by the Fiach Tribe, who very cruelly wiped them all out except for Calista and her friends, along with their children. She remained strong for her friends, who were all extremely terrified and skittish around their captors. It wasn't until another tribe who won a war against the Fiach tribe that she could finally rest properly. And despite the efforts of the young chieftain personally helping her and her friends heal, Calista was very annoyed by the man's behavior and they often argued. But the arguing soon turned into playful banter, then flirty when they started to become romantically attracted to one another. When married, Calista had discovered she was having a very hard time having children, barely able to stay pregnant for very long. It wasn't until their third try that she and Angus were finally able to have a son, who they named Conall after her father. And while she didn't approve of how her husband treated their son as a "method to toughen him up", she showered the boy with parental love to make up for what Angus lacked to give to him.
