She looks wonderful, but I heard General Firefly was more based off of Lauren's username, and not the G1 pony itself (I did read Amy's Twitter though). What's funny though is Amy didn't even know G1 Firefly existed at first.

Firefly: "TEN thousand years old. I WAS the original Firefly born in the settlement of Dream Valley, back when us ponies are just starting civilization. And before you ask:
YES, I did lead a band of heroes that took down Tirek the dark centaur, help defeated Squirk the Kraken King, and witnessed Lavan the Lava Demon being destroyed
NO, I can't take you to visit Dream Valley because the place was razed during the war against Grogar and the city of Tambelon; its ruins are buried so deep in the ice up in the Frozen North not even I know where it is.
And YES- at some point, I became immortal (I'll tell you how it happened later), outlived my friends, survived the Windigoes, resisted Discord's reign, fought in Princess Celestia's armies against Nightmare Moon, became the founder of the Wonderbolts, and FINALLY, I met your father, got married, and became your mother.

Firefly: "Looks like it. Well, to your credit, you took it better than your father did when I tried explaining to him."

Rainbow Dash: "So, um....since you fought with Celestia and Luna, maybe you could clear some some weird story I heard once--maybe you were there?"
Firefly: *Chuckles* "Of course, Rainy; what do you want to know?"
Rainbow Dash: "What exactly DID Luna do when those Griffon Sabetours blew up her Moon-Pie Bakery during the war three hundred years back? I've even heard that she turned THEM into Moon-Pies! So, what happened, really?"

Firefly: "Oh, that. Well, what Luna did in response was pretty much how the war started; there was a grand cooking competition, called the Great Feast, between the realms of Equestria and the Griffon kingdoms, that comes along with jousting and archery games, and the Griffons lost to the ponies won with the moon-pies. Luna's Bakery was then famous for their dishes, and their Moon-pies achieved world-renown - I know, cause I tried some of their stuff in person."
Firefly: "The Griffons royalty back then didn't take it so well, losing to a race they think are their inferiors. And, petty and stupid as they were, send the saboteurs to destroy the bakery out of spite. And Luna... well, she didn't take it well."
Rainbow Dash: "What did she do?"
Firefly: "By that point, 300 years before Nightmare Moon, she was already a little bit crazy and bitter. When she learned of what happened, her wrath was terrible - all the saboteurs were captured, and... well, she didn't turn them into moon-pies - she turned them into MEAT pies. Now, I don't know the details myself, but from what rumors I heard at the time, after she have them all executed, she had her cooks pluck, skin, and cook them into pies, and SERVED it to the Griffon Royal Family next time they visited Equestria on diplomacy. Then she sent them a letter after they leave GLOATING about it."
Rainbow Dash: "Sweet Celestia..."
Firefly: "That's what I thought as well. The Griffon royalty was horrified and furious. Of course, they demanded retribution, while denying any involvement in the original sabotage. And Princess Celestia refused to believe the Griffon's accusations, refused and... well, this and a lot of other things later, the war happened."

The OC comes across as a author mouth piece at best, and a mary sue at worst.Β
The original villain comes across as a villain sue.
And the big shocking reveal feels like a Shocking Swerve rather than a Plot Twist, and comes across MUCH MORE like the author being spiteful towards the setting than fridge logic or fridge horror.Β

I see; I only glimpsed at a part with the Elements of Harmony failing.
I've never heard of any those phrases except Mary Sue; are those different writers terms, and if so, what do they mean? Just wondering.
Then again; I haven't found much comics that appeal to me; one comic killed Luna off (dunno if she can really die or not) right at the beginning, and that put me off reading it. Another one had Celestia turning Twilight into a blank flank earth pony; and something about that just didn't click with me.

Nearly all fan comics have one of the following:
-Author Insert/Mary Sue/possession sue who tells the canon character what they've done wrong.Β
-Random non-canon pairingΒ
-Turn the setting more gritty and dark and/or more cynical and 'realistic.'(In a world of talking magical pastel colored ponies.) Β
At least you didn't find the fan comic where Equestria is turned in spirit into a clone of Warhammer 40K, where SA, Celestia and Cadence are turned into Sombra's willing minions, the mane six into chaos demons, Luna becomes Nightmare Moon against just to cut off the hell Equestria becomes from the rest of the world, and the CMC DECADES LATER as adults give up their cutie mark to supposedly become a two each of the element of harmony, which being JUST AS BRUTAL AND RUTHLESS as the other sides to protect what's left of pony kind to where you the reader just don't really CARE which side wins!Β

Now I've glimpsed more at it (it's in Spanish so I don't know what they're saying) and apparently the ponies turned all gray, the Element of Magic broke, and Twilight died...not interested unless they come back...the art is good though.

The art is good. And yes Twilight does 'resurrect.' But seriously, the 'twist' where the sky is an illusion and the rest of the universe is dead, comes across as a TAKE THAT against the setting rather than a terrifying plot twist.Β
