"HIM?"

The Mouse's incredulous response to the sight before him was met with a sheepish grin from his friend. He remembered to keep his voice down as he continued.

"Gosh...Are you sure this is a good idea, Oswald?"

Mickey crouched behind the crest of a hill, eyes on his friend. Worry showed on the King's face plainly as he adjusted his hat with a gloved hand. The Lucky Rabbit, nearly flattening himself for fear of his long ears sticking out into view, looked offended.

"Hey! Which one of us knows more about forgotten Toons?" There was a hint of bitterness in the temperamental bunny's tone that Mickey remembered from their first adventure together, before he and the Wasteland leader had accepted one another. He blinked guiltily.

"Besides," continued Oswald, "it was your idea to find a way to fight fire with fire!"

"Yeah, but..." Mickey risked a quick peek out at the object of their mission, "...you know how he is. Isn't he, well...skittish? What if he won't even talk to us, let alone fight—"

"Shhhh!" Oswald bounded forward on his large lucky feet and clapped a hand over his surprised brother's mouth. "What are you, nuts? Don't even think the 'f' word too hard around this guy, or he'll never hear us out!"

Mickey jerked away, irritated. "That's what I mean! Ya can't expect him to hold his own against Maleficent!"

"What other dragons do you know? Mushu?" Oswald retorted. He moved to stand. "He's our only option, Mickey. If anyone can convince him to help us, it's you!"

The What: Oswald the Lucky Rabbit crouches in his new gear as Companion to the King next to aforementioned ruler, peeking over a hill at their latest idea for a recruit; the Reluctant Dragon. Oswald was an old cartoon created Walt Disney before Mickey Mouse, and he's resurfaced nowadays as Mickey mouse's brother in the video game Epic Mickey. Mickey Mouse, in his sorcerer's outfit, needs no explanation. The Reluctant Dragon is the titular character of an old film produced by Disney to show how things worked at their studios. This picture is a scene from my crossover AU Concept, Disney Destiny. It is not found in the RP of the same name, but could have existed in e same universe.

The Why: I LOVE THE RELUCTANT DRAGON. He makes me laugh so hard, especially his poem about shortbread. I just had to draw him. Then I thought, "wouldn't it be funny if he were in the Forces of Good?" And this came about. I like to draw Oswald in his new outfit, too.

The How: Sketched out the Reluctant Dragon himself in my sketchbook, but everything else was done in my SketchApp on my iPad.

The Problem: I'm very proud of this. I know I don't deserve to be, because there's so much wrong with it. But it was fun to do, and I do love it! Probably won't love it tomorrow, but here it is.
