Description This was an experiment on my part, as I used a dark blue coloured paper, and coloured pencils.
I experimented with different makes at first, finally choosing Karismacolor pencils (no longer available in Australia- shame) as they seemed to work the best on the dark colour paper.
The original seems a lot more muted than the scan, seems as though the scanner software has compensated for the muted colours on the dark blue paper. anyway hope you like, comments please.........

I love this one too. Especially the texture of the bokeh background. Lovely bold colors and details. Thanks for sharing.

Fantastic colors and I really like the details in the wood, and the blurred background doesn't distract from the lovely kingfisher. Brilliant cp work!

Well thanks very much ! glad you like it, I was very pleased with the wood more so than the Kingfisher.
By the way this is the only drawing of mine that I have ever framed and hung on the wall.

I do. I don't just like the wood texture. It just all fits together so nicely. Why is this one the only one you have hanging on the wall? As far as I'm concerned, there are quite a few pieces in your gallery that would look lovely framed and displayed.
