managed to install a retail copy of osx10.5 on a eeepc1000h notebook.Note: this is not a hackintosh- a clean and original version of osx that is fully compatable with updates from apple!
What works: everything,but the microphone.

yeap. At first i had problems with ethernet,but after reading another short howto at the same blog,it was fixed.
Microphone/sound can also be fixed by plugging in a usb sound card.
Software updates work without a problem. I wish the eee had a slightly bigger screen. 2 or 3 inches would have made a big difference

oh..yes what about the resolution ?, can you get something like 1280x900 ?

if you have something igger than an eee laptop (the eeepc 1000h is like 10 inch screen)

yes,but it still sucks on the eee,i admit.
Replaced it with ubuntu jaunty the other day
