Well, here's the thing: The original sequence doesn't give any context for how big the pink elephants are. With the exception of the first four elephants and the part where all the little elephants march around Dumbo's face, we get NO real world objects to compare them to.

I didn't interpret it as a derision. I was simply stating my reasoning.

As for Aladdin turning into a camelephant... I dunno, it doesn't really appeal to me.
