Thats not fail. I think. I dont know how the original character was supposed to look like, but the high contrasts (without it being completely black and white) make this a very strong imagine. I like it.

Certainly a very striking image, the vague streams of light seem to be going into his mind as far as I make out which draw you into the featureless face which certainly gives off a handsome, yet solemn appearance. Nice work!
