Description
I loved Thousand Year Door because it's cute and appealing, and I had a whole lot of fun playing it. I actually sort of played it twice, but that's besides the point. Vivian is my favorite sidekick character. She's so cute and sweet if a little airheaded when you first meet her. The Shadow Sirens were a cool bunch in general. Funny and amusing, I liked them.I've never really used watercolors like this before, but I love the results. They came out so bright and vibrant. I used a few touches of gauche here and there as well, but nothing too overwhelming. Mostly highlights and shadowing a bit.
Enough babble. I babble too much.

To those who argue about Vivian's gender... her GENDER is always female, but in the Japanese version, her SEX is male. Yep. She's trans! I never call her a boy because that would be rude. Kinda like what Beldam did (in the Japanese version).

Vivian is great. Lady Bow was fun too. I'm so typical, I love the girl characters.

Yeah perhaps cry was the wrong word. I don't really know what was going through my mind. Vivian was very interesting character and guy or girl vivians still so cute!

Yeah, some say she/he is a guy in the Japanese versions while other say it was a misunderstanding (they say that Beldam called Vivian a he/man/boy to insult her/him) so I guess it is a bit unclear.
I guess wither way you portray him or her doesnβt matter. After all in the English version he/she is a girl so it is acceptable, and most fans portray her/him as a she since they donβt know about the Japanese version.
But technically speaking he/she isnβt supposed to have definite sex since he/she is a shadow XD Maybe he./she can be both at the same time

It is true that it's a male in the japanese version, but that never changed my opinion of the character. I still adore Vivian all the same. You do bring up a good point about a shadow having a "sex" though, never thought about it that way. That's a really great way of thinking about it.

I feel exactly the same about all your statements. I really enjoyed Thousand Year Door, even though it took me a second time of starting it over before I was able to beat it once (I blame school, lol).

I heard that in the japanese version she was supposed to be a man... o_O I was so shocked and frightened, but for the english version, they made her different. I don't know, but it's just a rumor.

Nope, it's definitely true. I remember when I read about it I was totally shocked. But knowing the Japanese, they're freaking weird and I'm not that surprised anymore. Doesn't change how I feel about Vivian though. She's/he's still who she/he is so whatever ^^
I had to find time after finals during college to play it. I managed to beat it though in my Junior year though, lol.
